So we were supposed to wait 2 hours in the middle of nowhere, with no facilities, in a desert with no a/c to then complete the 2 hour ride to St. Apparently the plan was to send a shuttle from St.

The driver was barely able to provide updates on what was happening. Our shuttle broke down on the side of the road in the desert at 3pm in the middle of nowhere. George ended 15 minutes after we left Las Vegas on 5/27. I was very impressed five years ago and I'm even more impressed now. We arrived in St George a little late but we arrived safe and in one piece! We were quickly, but gently, on our way again.

The shuttle was full now that we were on board and we were off! En route one of the passengers wasn't well and our driver quickly got him to a rest stop where he was able to avert an unpleasant experience. We were going to be 15 minutes late and our driver was full of encouragement! He messaged us all the way until we got to the shuttle. Our driver called us to confirm we arrived and see how much time we needed. Our flight from Minneapolis was late arriving and it was really tight deplaning (from the back), taking the tram to the Terminal and getting our luggage. They were unbelievably comforting and made us feel we were in good hands despite the fact all later shuttles were fully-booked. We called before departing MSP to ask what our options were if our flight was late. G you know about the "gorge" area. This is my second experience with SGS and I am so impressed-how they were able to up their game I'll never know! Oh, unless you have already been from Vegas to St. although you can see the mountian really good from here and is worth a picture or two!! All and all you should have more than plenty to do and see and hike and take pictures of! Really do try to do s a wonderful scenic drive. The weather is going to be nice (70+ degrees).Pine Valley is a georgous area up north about 45 min from St.G. There are many interesting areas right in town with walking trails (paved)! Most things are open on s a quieter day. Everywhere you go in these areas involve walking/hiking. Kayenta is also that way.a natural community (all houses built to go with the scenery they are colors of the rocks and area and are built low to ground-intersting!)It has a cute area with a few artsy shops and a coffee house. I agree w/ toby042 on not doing the state parks (although Gunlock is very nice and not to far away (about 20 mi)and Kolob is very pretty about as far as Zion (abit cooler bc it is higher elevation). If you go the Snow Canyon way which is very close you could see the Red Mountain Spa (on top ten list for spas), its very nice scenery too. go to Zion that day.there are big St Pats day celebrations all day.parade at 2pm, I am actually going to be in the parade (w/corvette club)! Lots going on and a very fun day! (Most things are closed in Zion on Sundays if you go that day). What time do you get to St George on Sat? If you could. Hope you get the shuttle thing worked out! Did you check w/ Aztec Shuttle? Will you have alot of luggage bc the Holiday Inn is actually within walking distance to the St George Shuttle /Best Value Inn hotel.across street and down a bit.
